Chief of Staff

About us

Dyer Baade & Company is a mid-market M&A advisory firm focused on delivering high-quality sell-side and strategic advisory mandates. We operate in a performance-driven, relationship-led environment where precision, discretion, and execution excellence are non-negotiable.

As we scale, we are building a more systemised, technology-enabled operating platform. We are seeking a Chief of Staff to partner directly with the CEO in driving this transformation.

About the role:

This is not a traditional Chief of Staff position.

This is a high-impact operational leadership mandate focused on:

  • AI enablement across advisory workflows

  • Process design and re-engineering

  • Workflow automation

  • Performance infrastructure and analytics

  • Execution of CEO-level strategic priorities

You will act as the CEO’s execution partner, building the operational backbone that enables the firm to scale without diluting quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead firm-wide AI adoption, identifying and implementing high-impact use cases across deal sourcing, marketing materials, research, and diligence workflows. Establish governance standards and ensure responsible deployment.

  • Map and redesign core advisory processes end-to-end. Reduce inefficiencies, standardise execution, and implement automation layers that materially improve productivity.

  • Build and institutionalise KPI dashboards covering pipeline velocity, conversion ratios, fee realisation, and deal cycle time. Introduce operating cadence and performance transparency.

  • Drive cross-functional strategic projects including pricing optimisation, tech stack rationalisation, vendor selection, and organisational design.

  • Influence and align team members around operational improvements without relying on formal authority.

Candidate Profile

  • 6–12 years’ experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, high-growth technology, tech-enabled professional services or similar.

  • Demonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements - not just advising on them.

  • Strong digital fluency, including familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation, and CRM systems.

  • Exceptional systems thinking and structured problem-solving capability.

  • High ownership mentality and comfort operating in a high-performance, low-bureaucracy environment.

  • Executive presence, discretion, and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders.

What we offer

  • Direct partnership with the CEO

  • High autonomy and real authority

  • Opportunity to design the operating system of a growing advisory firm

  • Very competitive compensation

Location

  • St. James’s, London

  • Preference for Full-Time, but Part-Time is also possible if at least 28 hours per week

Application Process

If you match the above criteria and would like to apply, send a short but meaningful cover note and your CV to talent@dyerbaade.com. Please do not use any other means to apply or enquire about this role.
